saving for my funeral

its weird to think about how most people my age are thinking about how to pay rent, pay student loans, pay for food, etc. im starting to save to pay for my funeral.

i don't have an exact date set, but maybe in a two or three months if things work out well. i dream of a nice glass of sn at a hotel in a city a few hours away from mine.

i don't have family that can easily pay for my funeral, and while i personally don't want one i know that the loved ones i leave behind would. i want to get cremated and be buried in one of the urns that grow a tree. i think that would be a nice way to remember. remember what wasn't really ever there to begin with.

my mom would be the only one who would pay and right now, she relies on me for rent. dying without at least having that could cause her to lose everything. it's not that i want to, i just morally don't think i could do that to her now.

You're being very responsible. Personally, I would do the same. I think I am enough of a burden in this life and I don't want to be in death as well

My dad died, and his insurance came after few months, i dont want to spend any of it because i want that money to pay for my funeral.

I haven't started saving yet but commend you for doing so. I've thought about it and don't think it's fair to expect family to pay either. I should save to have my body transported from the south to the north. Rationally I know it shouldn't matter but it's kind of like "under my dead body" will my final resting place be f@*#ing Florida. Then I truly wish my body could just be buried out in the woods and have a brother who just might do it

honestly, even if it doesn't "matter" i think its important to be remembered how you wish you were. whilst the mourning of the living is important, i think our wishes should also be respected especially one so final like that.

I think you're right, there should be dignity with death and the deceased choices. Being cremated and buried to grow a tree is lovely too, hyacinths. My sister did that with my brother in-law and it's perfect that he's now a part of a beautiful tree.

I do not like the sound of a funeral personally, I do not want to be remembered, but I guess that I will not be there at that point so it does not really matter to me what happens after I no longer exist. I hope that you find what you are looking for. I'm sorry for all the suffering that has brought you to this point, this life really is so horrible.
