although I shouldn't it's so strange
I think I just miss the weird warm feelings it gave me whenever I wasn't doing it to stop the tears
for me it felt like listening to static or white noise but also it gave me the same feelings as when you're standing in the shower and zoning out from the sound of the droplets from the shower head hitting the base of the bath and hitting the shower curtain or the nice sound of a running water faucet
even thinking about it now gives me a prickly feeling
doing dishes (because of the extremely hot or cold water and the sound of running water) and stuff with my hands helped me while I was trying to stop the urges and seek out that same static feeling
I wonder if anyone else is like this
also if you're recovering from it what has helped you
