Do you believe in the universe? It may believe in you

The universe works. Ive been given every sign this is what i was supposed to do, even in the wake of hesitation the universe put me on this path.

I have been living for my girlfriend for a long time, she broke up with me today or at least doesn't want to see me while shes breaking up with the person she actually loves.

I wanted to be supportive most of all i wanted to see her one last time. But the universe knew.

I see now i have to do this. She was the only good thing that happened to me this year but it was making me hold on for nothing.

Always amazes and comforts me that I wasn't the only one in here tiptoeing through the suicidal mess of my life living for important others (mostly relationships).
I can't really help how you feel, because I feel the absolute same after losing mine more than 2 years ago. Looking back at it now she definitely did the right thing breaking up with me, I'm suicidal, crazy in the head and was living in an insane delusion of the real world in order to cope with it and not go absolute nuts over the pathetic existence that is my life and myself.

I don't know your specifics, I just hope you are able to choose what's better for yourself. Despite what your brain tries to say, you really do deserve a way out of the predicament that brings you (everyone) here. Stay strong man. And whatever decision you make, know that it was the right one.

I'm really sorry this is going on. breakups can hit everyone very hard. Some will say you're overreacting but those same people have felt that crushing feeling of no longer being loved so try not to let that get to you, they're just choosing to not be sympathetic.

Have you considered trying to get a rebound partner? sometimes to help you shed off the feeling of hurt/abandonment, a new fling can help quite a lot, so long as you go into knowing it probably won't last. afterwards you might look back at the original relationship and feel way less hurt about them leaving you.

I am going to copy and paste what I already said before about this.
"Why do people say "universe" too much, the universe is just a location where all galaxies reside in, it isn't special or anything. There's already a word for something all knowing and powerful that punishes or looks after people and it's called God, too many people say "the universe really hates me today" or "the universe is giving me a sign" when they should say GOD is doing it
If you want to rent an apartment do you talk to the Landlord or the literal room itself?

Edit: It doesn't have to be the God in the Abrahamic faiths but a God nevertheless"
TLDR: Just say God instead of "muh universe" it's annoying as hell when you people say that

Well its more realistic to say the universe we know the universe exists,we know most of the compounds that make up matter exist within the universe, we know that most compounds that exist within the universe legitimatly make up our bodies and entire existence. besides that we dont all believe in god or gods as the projected human deities , just becausd youre annoyed with it doesn't change that or peoples beliefs.
Your agnostic beliefs are valid however but its annoying when you people dont understand the actual word and context of what a god is and try go apply it after explaining how they are not the same things.
Also i dont think god can be used in any other way other than placing powes into an individuals hands whereas the universe includes all of us even you... but hope you get un annoyed one day

Yea the universe has proof of existing unlike God but the universe can't give you signs or punish you, it isn't a thinking being but a physical place that things exist within.
Technically you're made up of certain elements that are found in Nuclear bunkers but if you lived inside a NB you aren't going to say the bunker is a thinking being that can predict your actions purely because of your element make-up.
Besides you were speaking about the universe in a esoteric way with you blaming yourself for not looking at the signs that you think were given by the universe, despite the universe not giving any signs because it's akin to a brick and doesn't have a "brain"

I sort of understand what you mean by this however so I take what I said about God back, instead of saying God or Universe you could have said "Ive been given every sign this is what i was supposed to do, even in the wake of hesitation I was destined/born/meant to be put on this path." instead of saying "the universe" did it because like I said, it doesn't do anything because it isn't thinking.

I never said "the universe" belief is 100% silly but I don't think you can use it as a substitute for God with it somehow making miracles, helping people and giving people 'signs', if the universe voodoo stuff is true then it's more like a machine that responds to certain stimuli but isn't aware of it. I see God as being more likely than a machine like universe or somehow this location also being self-aware. It won't stop me from doing stuff because whatever I see in the after was something I will already see
