Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

is anyone from NZ? will it be legalized? the polls seem to suggest so but as we've learned the past few years polls don't mean much. I think NZ are so lucky to have a vote on this the country seems so ahead of the rest of the world.

I hope they do, problems is the referendum is not an obligation for either party that gets elected to implement it same as for the cannabis legalisation act.
After we need to see what is the form of euthanasia, who can access it etc.

Are you from NZ? yes even if the referendum was passed it is only a first step. It doesn't mean that doctors will accept assisted suicide. In fact I read from the wikipedia page on the referendum that some doctors have actually come out against legalizing it.
No I don't think so. I think it's only for NZ citizens. But maybe I am mistaken. Even if it does pass only the terminally ill will have access as far as I know. NZ passed a law called the End of Life Choice Act in 2019 which "seeks to give people with a terminal illness the option of requesting assisted dying" and this referendum in October is giving voters the choice of whether it should come into force. That's from wikipedia.
I come across this ad on YouTube where they are suggesting disabled/people with terminal illness who secretly want to live,
become vulnerable if such bill is passed.
They are not wrong,
It's like despite your situation, even if a glimpse of you want to live, you see everyone else in similar situations,
ending their life through euthanasia, you'd feel pressured to do the same
that's a bit problematic.
Overall I like the idea people in terminal illness choose a sound decision for themselves,
However some people are going to become vulnerable,
That's just collateral damage I suppose.

I actually think the opposite will happen. Desperate people will feel more comfort in the fact that assisted suicide is an option for them, but very few people will actually take it up. It's kind of like ctb and this forum. A lot of us want to ctb but at the same time we feel better that we have this resource to come back too...
That's true I never thought of that... and no party has said beforehand that they will implement the result? I remember Brexit was non binding also, but the Conservatives said they would implement whatever the result was, so they had to do it.
