Discussion Would your life be good if ONE factor was different?

If one specific part of your life was different, do you think your life would be good? If so, what part of your life would you change? Of course we don't know what life would be like if things were different, but we can guess.

For example, I believe my life would be great if I was in the right body.

If I was neurotypical and not fat. I'd have the normal black boy swagger I'm supposed to have and I'd have some hoes and friends and I would have never been aware of anything in the world, I wouldn't be thinking about the metaphorical matrix we call society and how we are all slaves to it, and how now that i've been born and am fully aware I wouldn't be stuck within the cosmic battle ground we call the universe or reality.

i think my life would be so much different if my family wasnt abusive. i hate to think about things that cant be changed though. its pointless and this is my life thats leading me to ctb

I'd either choose to not be mentally ill or to have had a mother who wasn't abusive. Hard to choose. Mental illness is currently my biggest problem since I'm no contact with my mother. However, had I not been so abused I probably wouldn't be so mentally ill in the first place. Both would be great to change.

No, there really isn't anything good about existing, I don't see how existing beings tortured all for the sake of it could ever be good and the suffering and torture of existing is endless, to exist is an abomination and it's so terrible how humans cause all this suffering and torture all for the sake of it by imposing this existence, to me existence will just always be the most terrible mistake to me and for me non-existence is just all that's positive and desirable.

All I want is to be free from this existence of terrible, torturous suffering, it's just so terrible how a human can suffer for so long just to face the extreme agony of old age, to me existence will just always be the problem, I just always suffer as a result of being burdened with this existence so dreadful and torturous.

There are so many things wrong with me, but maybe it would be livable if I weren't trans. I would prefer to have just been born male, but if I could have just been a cis woman (no gender dysphoria), even that would have been preferable to this. I can't stand it anymore.

Yes, I think even with only one of these things my life would still improve. Say I choose to be mentally healthy, sure I still have to cope with the trauma of my mother, but I would no longer have OCD, depression, anxiety, etc and that alone would be amazing. If I chose to have a mother who wasn't abusive, yeah I *might* still be mentally ill but I wouldn't have the trauma and I'd have a caring mother around for love and support which would also be amazing. Though both together would still be ideal.
