Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you are in the US it should be pretty easy. At least make sure of the caliber of the gun you're looking at, you may have to get your own ammo (pretty much match up the number for most standard calibers). I would suggest reading through the methods section on guns just to get an idea of what can be involved.
Ya it's not something to screw up. If you think you're life sucks imagine part of your face gone. Please read through that megathread and give it some thought. As a long time gun owner (not for the last 10 years) it's glamorized in movies but if you see some of the results of failed attempts, not pretty.
I think going in to buy a gun with absolutely now idea of what you're buying could easily alert the store that something is up. Lots will sell anyway but with gun seller licenses I knew of a few stores that wouldn't sell if a buyer didn't know what they were looking for (most gun fans know exactly what they want), usually because of a straw buy. I'm sure there's plenty that would sell machine guns to babies though.
