Front or back of head?
This is where I'm a little ignorant, but I doubt while jumping you'd be able to reliably choose the front or back. You'd probably make impact with the top of your head.

I think @NegevChina had worked out an approach for this using a small parachute.

Otherwise all I can think of is to find a pool with a high dive platform and train yourself. There's not much time in the air to correct yourself so it has to be muscle memory, otherwise you'll probably just flail around like a chicken with its head chopped off.

Just to make a quick sanity check, how high are you planning to jump from? If it's less than 150 feet you may want to revisit your plans.

160 feet but into water, not onto land.

Ahh, water is different. I think the recommended minimum height is 250 feet into water. The Golden Gate Bridge is 220 feet and there have been at least 34 survivors. It's also known that many more survived the fall and drowned instead.

You also might be better off landing on your stomach rather than head in order to maximize damage to internal organs. If you did a perfect dive head first you could even swim away from it completely unscathed, the record for high dive into water is 193 feet.

What is the probability of successful suicide by jumping from the top of a cruise ship? Hoping for instant death Without drowning included.

your head. if you've ever dived into a pool off of a diving board do that. But really the best thing to do is just to jump from high enough that it doesn't matter. Honestly when you are plummeting to your death you are not going to be able to correct yourself in order to land properly, so just jump from as high as possible.

Very low. The tallest cruise ship is 240 feet, but that's to the top of the chimney which you can't jump from. I'd assume most cruise ship decks are about 100-200 feet high. That's enough to sustain internal injuries and die, but it would involve drowning.

In general jumping into water has a high risk of drowning, so it could be extremely painful. You'd have the pain of internal injuries from the fall on top of the pain of drowning, it's like combining 2 of the most painful experiences in one. People say that drowning is more painful than childbirth.

I've looked down from the deck of a cruise ship and the view of dark, soulless ocean beneath is haunting af. SI will be even stronger compared to a building rooftop.

Front or back of head?
For absolute highest chance, the top. If by some chance that happens, you will likely end up destroying your skull, leading to a nearly instant death. The problem is you're not able to position yourself to do so once you have jumped, and if you land on your feet, things are going to turn out horribly.
