Help What's the deal with Nembutal?

Someone keeps posting about Nembutal and I am pretty sure I am way late and Nembutal's heyday is long gone. So essentially, what's the deal with Nembutal? Can someone summarize what it did and just the general thing about it, as I know it used to be mentioned more frequently here. I also saw a video from a YouTuber playing a pretty dark game which revolved around suicide and at the end, the guy ended his life and after, it mentions someone who died via Nembutal overdose.

Okay thanks, this helps clear it up for me. It does sound great, just peacefully falling asleep with no dire symptoms. I can definitely see why it's preferred to SN or any other method now. Sucks that it's basically impossible to get, it would give so many on this form a peaceful out and banning it doesn't stop suicides. It just makes people ctb with more painful methods

Only vets in Mexico would have them. You would have to build a relationship with them at some point and likely offer a lot of money for it. Gotta make a good excuse for it too. Like say, your dog is too sick to travel and you would like to put him down yourself.

Omg, that ad. It used to be crazy the kinds of medicines you could just buy. Just the medical wild west. I get why they stopped this, but I still am a liiiiittle jealous

Thanks, didn't even think to look at the PPH! N would be the dream to obtain. Of course, because it's such a peaceful and good method, it's so hard to obtain.

Not really. It was around a guy obsessed with this painting of a palm tree and it's a pretty short game. It's a bit late so I don't want to try and find it right now but you might be able to find it if you try though.

It is this game, called "The Static Speaks My Name". It is a short indie horror game where you play as a suicidal guy. I think the creator based it on experiences in his own life. N is mentioned very briefly at the end.

Pentobarbital is essentially nembutal and is what's used in Switzerland for assisted suicide. It used be the drug of choice for medical assisted suicide in the United States but the drug manufacturer didn't want it to be used for the capital punishment industry and so they stopped availability. So now the medical assisted suicides in the United States have to resort to a five drug 'cocktail' which takes longer and is complicated. In a few places in Peru you can still get Halatal (if you know where to go in the back alleys, but this is quicker changing) which is basically nembutal, for euthanizing animals.

Wow, for some reason reading the way it makes you pass sounds even more peaceful. Protecting from hypoxia is huge, you won't go through the same panic with that as SN. Is there a cure for N like SN's methylene blue?

Yeah it's something that can't be bought online. Lesson learnt. But it was shattering to be scammed by someone that is a vulnerable person not wanting to be here anymore. I could have used that money to give to my family for when I pass. I saw you recently got Nembutal. Was that through a friend?
