• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Palliative care in my experience.
They may try to convince you first though.
PS. In the UK that is.

Palliative care, probably.
I'm in Canada, but I'm sure it would be the same in the US.
But yeah, there is always the potential that they'll just make you leave but honestly I doubt it.

There is always the risk the doctor is an asshole and decides to have your mental health questioned and force IV and tubes.

I agree with this statement. Doc would question your refusal to eat or drink, than again refusing the IV

I think you need to have a conversation with your doctor about whether or not this will be supported. I can see them going to more extraordinary measures to keep you alive, and maybe even send you to a psych ward. But if it's supported, they should be able to tell you what to expect. I think it's perfectly reasonable in your condition to want to have this kind of conversation, not something that should be taken as offensive.

yep...well i have in my "last will" that i dont want to be kept aliveby artificial means, but i think that has nothing to do with this situation. they will tell me that they are supposed to try to keep people alive
It depends on where you are probably. Here in the US they would make you leave as there would be no reason for you to stay. You couldn't walk in and tell them you are not going to eat and drink so you need to stay in the hospital.
well the reason would be making the starvation less horrible with IV injections. thats not active euthanasia. bit i guess they would say no
