Wanting to know if using someone else's firearm will put them at risk for any legal negligence.
Typically I would do my own research but I have brief window of a few days before the homeowners get back to put this into action, and that free time is best actively spent cleaning and moving my things out.
I just moved to a pro-gun state after living my whole life in one with heavy restrictions. Will specify state if really needed.
I am a full grown adult. Have not been 5150d or put onto any crisis program, although I did try and institutionalize myself three months ago in a different state, I was turned away and it did not have any followthrough. The people I am staying with now do not know about this. Even if they did I dont think there's anyone who would try and put legal charges on them.
Other than that for clarity I do not plan to off myself in their house and I dont think I'd be scarring them for life with guilt or anything. At worst I'll leave behind an impression of resentment and that I was entitled or cowardly.
