• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Guys, I just watched the finale of The Good Place!

Was anyone struck by how pro-suicide the ending was? It was basically a love letter to assisted dying.

I don't think there are many people on this board who are ready to check out simply because they have already done and seen everything they wanted! However, it just goes to show that everyone wants out eventually.

I agree 100%. I don't believe that 'forever' exists. We live, we die, that's it.

I really enjoyed the end of The Good Place, I feel like it dealt with eternity in a great way- by letting everyone leave.

Yo I love this show and I remember seeing the finale right before joining this site! I'd highly recommend anyone else see it because it's such an easy way to learn about ethics/moral philosophy, plus the ending is literally as pro choice as you can get! I really really really hope that the real afterlife is exactly like it is at the end of the show.

To elaborate a bit more, I genuinely think there's tons of things I'd love to be able to try from the good place that couldn't be completed in real life. Imagine being able to meet all kinds of previously dead people and have infinite time to experience all of the best shows, movies, music, and games that ever existed! There's definitely all kinds of places I'd like to see and experience even though I hate traveling. I only hate the actual traveling part of traveling though. If I didn't have to plan or pack, there's so many places I'd like to see and the good place would actually allow that. I could definitely see myself spending several million Jeremy Bearimies in the good place at the very least.
