Taking a walk.. did someone CTB here?

I'm taking a walk along a nature trail in the woods when I spotted this rope in a tree. It looks as though something has been cut from it. It's not the kind of place for rope swings, so I wonder if it was someone like us who put it there.. and if it was whether they succeeded or abandoned the attempt.

You'd have to look in news archives or something. I put ropes like that everywhere just to remind the auld people not to get too comfortable.

We only have one local newspaper in my town and I've looked through their online archives but haven't been able to find anything. From the statistics I've seen there's approximately 7 suicides per year in my town but only one or two of them get reported in the news, so I guess we'll never know.. it could be someone's attempt or something totally innocent

Maybe.. unless it was recent and they didn't have a ladder or something to cut it from the top. I only walked down here a few days ago and didn't see it there before

Maybe some twat ten year old made a rope swing and it snapped and sent them flying to pain city for the day.
