I have and I haven't been trying really hard to get my life together. I was doing my best at my job but I never really reached out when it got tough. I did the therapy but I wasn't honest when I didn't think it was working. It's funny when you people please because it's just a different type of lying. I'm in so much pain right now but then it feels like a lie when I'm not. There are so many patterns of behaviour that I engage in that actively make my life worse. Even worse I can't even afford the support I need to get better so what's the point in trying. I'm on a 7 month waitlist for treatment and then an indefinite time for help for being neurodiverse. It's cringe. How can someone have so many things wrong with them? Pathetic. I've always been a coward but I hope I can do one right thing.

I agree with your title overall though I'm not going to comment on your case specifically as only you can decide that for yourself. Overall though, yes, some people should just give up and I want to clarify that there is absolutely no harm in giving up despite what the pro lifers state. Society talk about how giving up is a bad thing to do due to the indoctrination they received as a child to "just keep on fighting" but I think that if you look at life for what it is, there should be no shame in giving up. We are all going to die anyways and death isn't a harm to the beings who are dead so why should we have to continue on fighting when, firstly, it leads to nowhere and, secondly, there is no harm done in giving up because it isn't like those who are going to die will be in some purgatory state where they are suffering in pain and agony
