Everyday there are so many suicides, on livestream, by train, murder suicide, by gun, the mother and grandmother that killed the kids and themselves, celebrities, etc. I'm in excruciating unbearable pain and pray for mercy. I can't figure out how to end the agony. There are so many suicides in New York. Everyday it seems like more.Is this happening everywhere? There are many hangings, couples and families dying by murder suicide. I don't know how so many people get past SI. A lot are ODs.I know some are SN but unless it's gunshot they don't usually tell you the cause. I am curious what the mother and grandmother used to poison the kids and themselves because the news says poison by OTC and other poison. I hope it poor kids fell asleep and didn't suffer to much.I wonder what they used. Now when I hear of someone dying I think it's a suicide not an accident.

They do a lot of good work however they describe the statistic as a "tragedy". Some methods will be worse than others, no doubt, and some cases less rational, no doubt. However some will be people with more life experience who have had enough and gone in a more peaceful manner.I am in the U.S., BUT daily pressure nowadays of living costs always going up and up, and so many social and family pressures that sometimes something breaks.
We have 2 choices in the long run:
1) Work and do everything TOGETHER
OR
2) Go the way of the dinosaurs.
Like here in the U.S., with orange face as president, so VERY sad indeed! the gulf between haves and have nots has REALLY widen. That is a short- AND long-term recipe for disaster.
1% can NOT own 90% and 99% own 10%, it is NOT stable, never was and never will be. One just has to look at human history, French revolution, Russian revolution, Hitler, Chinese civil war in 1949, and the list goes on and on.
We as a species BETTER start leaving behind, greed, egotistical behavior, self-centered behavior and the like or we ARE doomed as a species.
Same goes for over population, I was reading where species of fish and marine life are continually going extent and down the road our turn will come. Such a shocker but the world population has been UNDER COUNTED, so there are even more humans than ever.
All of this combines and so much more into suicide and suicide rates.

I have always wondered what these ppl used to poison the entire family. If we could know the name, we could try and access that poison and be free.Orange face lol. We have albosleazy in Oz. The man who waffles about his mummy.
At least in US, despite the pitfalls of guns (don't mean to be political), the suicidal have more options in some cases.

I'm not sure about the suicide statistic in my country nor my area, but only last month a junior of the high-school I went to committed suicide by jumping after being harassed by disciplinary teachers because she was dating the daughter of one of the teachers. It was an all-girls school, and our country is conservative on LGBTQ+ and penalises suicide. Praying she's at ease now, and that her loved ones are doing alright.
For anyone curious, the school handled it very badly, holding an award ceremony just 3 days after the news, and asking the students to just forget about it and move on the Monday after. They'd also covered up the story by making it seem like it was a bullying case. Very bad taste.
I live in big city in North America. Once in a while someone jumped the train station and it got delayed and everyone else is pissed bcs they are late to work.
Here in Indonesia you have two outcomes for suicides, either:
a. Not reported at all, or
b. Goes viral
Last week, a student is dying because she's forced into a train. Her cause of death is ambiguous, but suicide is one of the suspected cause since she's posting sad edits and venting in her social media. Spontaneously it goes viral and everyone starts calling her morally wrong. The whole case is just sad in my opinion.
I think in Indonesia suicides are going at a "normal" rate. Just that most of the methods used for suicides and/or attempt is crude and painful.

On the one hand, you may be noticing this not as a phenomenon, but rather because your attention is being drawn to this subject in particular. However, if you were to narrow the areas where these incidents have been taking place and the data showed a genuine uptick over a short period (from a few months to a year), then we might be able to look at this as the Werther effect.
This doesn't mean that some invisible force is driving people to end their lives. Instead, the media coverage of these incidents and the details surrounding them can motivate others to consider taking their own lives. People are not only hearing or reading about these events in the media but are also likely discussing them with those around them. This becomes a trigger.
There was a similar concern about this happening in a documentary I watched some years back:

Here it happens a lot now, it used to be rare.
A girl from high school was being bullied. The last day of school she spoke about it in class. She ran out and went to the station and stepped in front of the train. I know several people who committed or lost someone. I didn't know anyone personally until I was in my 30s,and didn't hear of it much in the news. The last few years it became more often but now it's literally every day that I hear of it.Last edited:
This is one of the beautiful aspects of SaSu, is pro-choice and everyone can do and think as they please, without "big brother" thumbing its nose at a person.
