Hello guys) Do any of you save money for a funeral? I just don't want to financially burden the family, besides, funerals are not cheap. After my death, the family will have a lot of problems with funeral arrangements and this is a moral shock((
You are lucky that your family is not against cremation. And I have a regular funeral (I wish they would just burn me. Plus, cremation is half the price

The funeral is the cheapest. What is really expensive is the coffin, the monthly payment of the cemetery, the funeral car and other extra services. I will donate my body to science because it is free and you only have to pay for the funeral.
You are very conscientious when worrying about the economic value. I think you have a family that loves you. I hope you find peace
In the US nearly all funeral homes offer what is called a "Funeral Trust". This is essentially a bank account that will release the money to the funeral home to carryout the final disposition of your remains after your passing.
Besides the peace of mind this offers, it also locks in most of the pricing, so your dobt have to worry much about inflation.
I set this up for myself, and I'll have a direct cremation when the time comes. This cost me $2,350. (NYC Area pricing).
Some funeral homes also have payment plans where you can pay a little at a time and still lock in the pricing.
