Crazy when you think how utterly pointless life really is,nothing more than getting up everyday to the same meaningless job to earn money to pay bills,then just get older and older till eventual death?

There is something to live for : just think of getting old and seeing your once smooth skin turning to wrinkles and your face resembling more and more every year a living corpse like in the living dead zombie movies. How "exciting" that would be pro-lifers would like us to experience that. then think of all the aches ,pains ,diseases, mental decline, of old age as you get older as every human will get old and then die anyway . But death is not bad to me as it saves me from further torture but if i get old cancer , alsheimers , pain will torture me for years and torture me to death : so that is what pro-lifers think we have to live for to look forward to extreme torture. I'm just being sasrcastic. there is no way in hell i 'm going to allow these cells i'm trapped in to get old .

Yes, you can or must give meaning to your life yourself.

Listen to what really inspires you and try to implement it. This doesn't necessarily have to be a house, a car and a family.

Life is cruel and has no meaning, this is true for every single human being on this earth, or every lifeform in general. Pro-lifers (read: majority of humanity) don't see it that way because evolution selected for certain biases and delusions which work to distract or deny the obvious reality we inhabit. Sometimes certain individuals lose this optimism bias and see reality the way it really is. Normies call them mentally ill, but only because they speak from within their own pink bubble. And everything which is outside the norm can only be an illness, according to them.

This is a huge part of why I want to cbt. Even if I somehow ever stop hating myself and overcome everything that makes me want to ctb now, eventually I'll still get old and die and in the end all my struggle won't matter at all, and getting old is one of my worst nightmares that can be stopped in only one way: dying young

Yes, I agree. We are only on this earth because of evolution, our lives are essentially pointless. We are just waiting around to die, humans do the same tasks on loop for decades and that is just an distraction from our inevitable fate. I just exist for the sake of it, I have never really enjoyed life, living just doesn't appeal to me in any way. As well as life being tedious and pointless it can be very cruel and there is unlimited potential for suffering. I see a right to die as very important. I just want to fall into an eternal sleep really.

Living without a purpose is pure torture. I speak from experience. I give "meaning" to life with mundane things like: "I want to play that game", "I want to watch that movie".

Maybe you can do it too. But I do not know how for how long I can keep doing this.
