  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

Not entirely sure what to title this, but I have a job interview with a homeless shelter for disabled people soon(hopefully) I've been homeless before for years, it's painful. Once I was out I started volunteering over at there, I don't mean to be self centered, but I'd like to think of myself as a decent person before I CTB. It feels good to help people; in my free time I've been learning lots of sign language in case anybody I meet is deaf.
I just really hope I can get the job and fulfill myself. Sorry if I shouldn't or aren't allowed to post about the positives on here and sort of change the mood; I have nobody to talk to.

i dont think it makes you self centered :hug::hug: its ok to sit back and think "yeah, i did that, thats awesome"
its only really a self centered thing if you bring it up every 2 seconds and inappropriately inject it into conversations

That's just sad. Most of us are quite tired of the same anti-suicide propaganda that have been circulating for years - true, but there's nothing wrong in sharing something positive or inspirational.

I wish you good luck with the interview. Having been homeless, you know what it's about. Learning sign language is tough, and can prove that your interest is persistent and sincere. It sounds like you have the potential to be a strong candidate for the post.

If you help and inspire others along the way, that's great. By creating value and exposing yourself to opportunities, you might even find life worthwhile, eventually.
Keep striving to be a decent person, and do so with high confidence.

Love that. Thanks for sharing. It does feel good to help out in some way. I can relate with your motivations. For me if I'm not in service there's a feeling of not contributing enough.

You're a saint, you belong in heaven not in this hell, the earth doesn't deserve you. But I hope you'll have the job and exist a longer... If we're only allowed to have negative emotions here it's as bad as only being allowed to have positive emotions elsewhere. I thought this place was about freedom to feel whatever we need.

What an incredibly lovely thing to do! A very rewarding job, too.

All the best!

SS isn't just negative. We like to hear positives too - suicidal people don't just have negative things to say.
