I recently made a post about my suicide note and a few people commented how it would be gathered as evidence. Is there anyway to avoid this? I dont want to send delayed emails because what if i survive and theyre sent? how awful would that be? Im quite worried to say the least. please help me. thanks.

Isn't it possible to cancel delayed emails?

You can cancel a delayed email before it was sent- if the attempt was unsuccessful. (You'll either be alive and well enough to do this or if you're not- I imagine it will already be fairly obvious you were trying to CTB.) Probably better to leave it a decent amount of time before it is sheduled to send to make sure you can get to it if you need to cancel it.

Really- I don't think there is any control over whether actual notes are passed on. It truly puzzles me as to why they would be kept by the police at all if it was clearly established it was a suicide but I just don't know. I suppose you could leave one clearly visible for the police to find- and then maybe put the others somewhere less visible for your family to discover when they go through your stuff. It's not really sonething you have much control over by then- sadly.

Just bear in mind everyone- that I've heard the major email providers likely scan emails for words like 'suicide'- or- so I've heard... Don't really see how they could act on anything- surely that would be invading personal privacy.

Still- I don't intend to take the risk. I'll likely write the notes separately and attach them. Then, keep the main body of the email as light as possible! Like I say- I don't know. I'm not a tech or security expert. Just wouldn't want to take any risks.

You could leave the notes somewhere and schedule a delayed email revealing the location of the notes

I doubt that's true but I think it's easy to write emails without using words that would alert email providers.
