Thanks! I love to cook (ok, moreso before, but still) and
I had great fun hosting a Halloween party for my daughter in 2017. I was really on top of my mom game that year.

Willow, if you can take a deep breathe, I think you have a lot to offer yet to yourself and the community. I know you do not want money, but assistance is available here if needed. It's not about pride or humiliating at all. It's about making sure people can have a little peace and clarity. You make better decisions and evaluations when some stress is lifted. I think this what SS is really about. Shared experiences, feelings, and circumstances. This way you can really get a good picture and determine if CTB is the right course of action.

hey I just wanna say thanks to everyone who offered to send me money, I honestly wasn't expecting that when I made this post haha. It was really sweet of you guys to offer. I was feeling really desperate and panicked when I made the post so it made me feel nice
I remembered that I had my old phone, so I used the last of my gas to drive to gamestop and get 16 bucks for it. I'm saved! yay

Sorry to hear you are hungry...are there any food banks near you?Poverty is awful and nobody should have to feel hunger. It won't stave that feeling but please consider,you have someone who loves you despite having nothing. That makes you truly rich. Many wealthy people never experience that.instead feeling lost and miserable amidst their opulence.
My family were poor when I was young and we were homeless for a period,but I have no memory of that. All I recall is that I always felt cared for, and the wonderful experiences we shared. Your BFs son will remember how much effort you made to accommodate him and your concern.
Do you guys have much of a Hindu community? Hindu temples will usually have at least one night a week where they feed everyone who attends regardless of their status. Sharing food is a big part of their tradition.
You might feel uncomfortable accepting "charity". Are you aware of our healthcare system here in the UK? Everyone pays a portion of their income as "National Insurance". It's unlike the insurance you have because it doesn't directly assure your own treatment in that the provisions are available to those in need. The ethos is based upon mutual concern. It IS possible for the public to provide for the entirety. Altruism is often regarded as selfishness,because it genuinely does feel good to help another human that is struggling.
