Hi all,
If you decided to drown in a freezing lake or canal in the middle of winter which one would you choose? I was leaning towards the lake but a lot of people go there even in the winter time. I am afraid, I would get caught or rescued. The canal has a embankment, I could jump off from so my whole body would be submerged..What are your thoughts on this and any way to improve my chances of drowning? I am scared but really need to CTB. Any help is appreciated.

Drowning in general is not a great method, instincts will often kick it to save you despite best efforts against it. It is also incredibly painful, especially in the winter.

Why would it be more painful in the winter? I would die quicker from cold water shock or hypothermia, I would think. In warm water it seems like you'd be suffering for longer waiting to die.

The drowning will likely kill you before the cold does, and the pain from drowning mostly comes from inside the body so the numbing effect doesn't help. In the winter just adds the pain from cold water ontop of the pain from drowning.

Thank You. This is about my only option though as I can't figure out FSH and they say prescription med over doses don't work.
