I love you all, so if I see something that might help me as well as many others, of course I'm going to post about it here. Posting here because its about others recovery, not just mine.
I'm someone that considers anxiety a major killer, big impact on lifestyle and suicides imo.
Someone I spoke to takes this for their PTSD, they say it helps and also helps them lose weight. I google it, it looks like it could be super helpful, ngl.
It's an anti-seizure medicine.
It can help with anxiety, insomnia and aids in weight loss because its an appetite suppressant.
All of those symptoms I could use help with.
So I want to get some, I will ask G.P. about it, and its prescription only, so if they don't give me some, I will probably attempt to acquire some anyway.
My friend already said she can send me some of hers, she doesn't take it all. I'd rather go through official channels first, bank holiday sucks for support for sure. We only have each other right now.
The main contraindications seem to be drinking alcohol. I don't drink, so I should hopefully be fine to be prescribed this. I will push, but it sounds helpful for sure!
Anyone else taking this? Because even if not, that's a good sign! Means it works? Might not be in the position where I'm feeling suicidal then.
I suppose with the weight-loss, I should add, if you're already skinny it might not be the best choice, but there might be an alternative. Just thought of that, when I worried about a few other users on here. I could be over-thinking it and it probably just reduces your appetite to normal if its out-of-hand. That's a possibility too.
