I've been looking into the night-night method, and I just cannot find my carotid sinus. Or my carotid artery for that matter. Most methods use it so I really need to be able Any tips on this?

do you mean your carotid, or the 'sweet spot' that gets mentioned a couple times in the night-night megathread?

finding the carotid sinus is very simple. it's literally just the spot where your pulse is. the 'sweet spot' however, seems to be more challenging. it's very small and needs to be compressed perfectly at the correct angle on both sides. if you only get it correct on one side, but leave the other side unblocked, it won't work. I've been practicing finding it for the last couple days and so far i've only managed to get it once (you'll know when you get it right btw, you'll be on the verge of passing out in literally seconds).

anyway, although i haven't tested it, logically you don't need to get it perfect during the attempt. the beanbags cover a wide surface area. i would assume that as long as they're in the correct general area, it would work?

I've mainly been trying to look for that sweet spot, no luck so far. Completely unrelated side note, Omori profile photo?

not an expert on partial (i plan to use fsh), but the rope should be at the top of your neck, above your larynx (adam's apple) with the knot at the back.

this picture helped me to know just about how much pressure and where to strangle, it took a couple of tries for me to figure it out.

it requires at minimum 3 kilograms of pressure to compress the carotid artery. if you own a kitchen scale, turn it on and press your thumb down on it until it reads 3 kilograms (7 pounds). that's how hard you need to squeeze.
