Hi, everyone. I'm still alive, even though I tried to end it all. Over the last few weeks, I've started seriously considering the CTB option—hypothermia outdoors.
I came up with what I thought was a perfect plan, but then I stumbled upon a thread on the forum, after which I realized once again that ending my life is much, much harder than I'd like it to be.
Basically, I worked out a plan: when the temperature outside is around 0–3 degrees Celsius, I'll go somewhere far away from people—some small forest—where I'll handcuff myself to a tree so that if I try to commit suicide, I won't be able to stop the process. Before that, I'll take off all my clothes somewhere and be left wearing only shorts.
I thought it would all be very simple—that once I got there, I'd use a lot of alcohol and tranquilizers to zone out, and the cold would take care of the rest for me…
But then I found a post by someone who claims to have lain there under similar conditions for almost four days, and nothing happened to him
Here's the post: https://sanctioned-suicide.net/threads/failed-hypothermia-attempt.121469/
Seriously? So can we rule out the hypothermia method? Will it not work as intended? What do you guys think about this—is it worth trying something like this?
I was hoping that lying naked for about 6 hours at 0°C would be enough to kill myself, but now I realize that's not the case, right?
