I think most smartphones have a setting called "call barring" where you can choose to block incoming and/or outgoing calls. Idk if it also blocks emergency numbers, I assume so. That might be a good option in case you have genuine second thoughts as it's technically reversible.

Lock the door and throw the keys down the sink or your throat so you truly cant get out of the room. You can also sellotape your mouth to avoid screaming
