How Do You Prepare?

From the big stuff, like saying you want to be cremated to the little stuff like deactivating social media or your email account.

has anyone put much thought to tying up all of those things so our loved ones won't be burdened or does any of that shit even matter?

I just get rid of socials altogether. You can delete Facebook permanently or leave your profile up if you want. I guess for wanting to be cremated, maybe include that in your note?
