Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

I need help with this. I don't want to go on any more. It hurts so bad. I've exhausted my alternatives. SN is too hard to get and the more I read about it, the less appealing it sounds.

I'll go with good old fashioned hanging. I'm planning on doing the deed when my parents take a long trip.

The only anchor I can use is my bedroom door.

What's a good material for rope? How do I tie a noose? Would benzos help?

If there are any people that are going to be in the house/next door to the apartment DO NOT attempt to use the door as an anchor point. Your thrashing will cause your body to hit and bang on the door alerting anyone close enough to hear it. This will likely cause them to check out what's going on and "save" you.

I'm editing my message to also add that you should check out this thread as it provides very good and vital information on the method and is the best documented guide I've ever seen on the site:

cant you cushion yourself to prevent this? add excess cloth to the back of yourself? it would sound resonable especially if you have animals in the home/dorm/apartment

if you consistently make loud thrashing noises at night it might desensitize whomever lives with you. stupid idea? maybe. but its worth a try.

gaddamit. i've been planning on using my closet door as an anchor point for a long time. i'll have to do it outside. i guess it makes the most sense, i just hate staying up late to go to the woods.

the thought of a suicidal person taping pillows to their body or wearing 5 sweaters to try to make their thrashing less loud makes me laugh. sound travels in a house. even my dumbell on the floor makes thuds that my sister can hear from her room.

Yeah I had a similar plan but it fell through to this exact revelation sadly. I hope you are able to find peace in one way or another, and best of luck! This guide is very useful if you are considering the use of a tree branch:

I have not considered the ladder of blaming animals, however, I have considered the use of cushioning. The reason that fell through is the fact that with a door the rope is already positioned at an angle instead of straight down like you want it. The reason this is bad is because it puts excess pressure on the trachea and releases pressure on the carotid arteries. Adding cushioning would only further worsen this problem as it would cause you to be even further from the door resulting in an even worse angle which causes the effect to become even worse.

im just gonna go on a whim and suggest things, i could be completely wrong but it doesnt hurt to open a discussion up.

if anything i would certainly steer away from pillows and stuff like that, as well as clothes just because its impractical.

i have a lot of foam and cotton left spare in my area from god knows what. i dont think a few inches would skew your body enough to prevent a proper suicide. on top of that, ~100 something pounds are crushing your carotids along with your jugulars (assuming this isnt being done on partial somehow). i dont think 120+ pounds could be pushed away from the carotids to be able to prevent a proper suicide. it just seems so improbable that, if you test the thickness of the cushioning, it should work unaffected. now that i think about it, even a pillow may work considering the ligature should slide right up to the chin and secure the rope.

also if the issue is the trachea, i think that effect is inevitable given its more than a hundred pounds squeezing your neck shut. sorry i read your post weirdly

Tried this on a closet door with a bathrobe tie. Got to the point where vision was going black, but it's so easy to reach back and turn the know to release yourself. That's what we did. Probably 5 secs from total blackout. Plus, I don't know how long a hollow-core door will support a human's body weight. Most closet doors are not solid. I'm more concerned about those things than noise, even in an apartment, personally. Crank the stereo or do it when people are at work. Make banging noises a few days prior to make them think you are working on something so it won't sound out of the ordinary.
