Good memories do more harm than good now

Remembering that there ever was a time when my conscience was clear, when I was healthy and active.
Knowing that I actively threw all that away, it hurts so bad.

I honestly wish things were always this bad, the good memories hurt the most.

This whole life was a fucking failure.

I'm finding more that my good memories are romanticised versions of what really happened. I always thought I had a good childhood tarnished by things did but I had a tarnished childhood with a sprinkling of good times. I can't think of a time when I wasn't inherently unhappy but putting on a fake smile.

I know how you feel. It's painful to remember good times and even mediocre times. A reminder how everything went downhill and will never return.
