Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Going to a university was a mistake for me too, my life fell apart after 2nd sem and they made me drop out. I have no future ahead of me now.

My options right now are either stay in university or move back in with my parents, and I would rather ctb than move back in with them. I hate life so much.

So you have been at school for what, two weeks? Of course you feel overwhelmed. It is a new way of life. It can be a great time though! Give yourself some space to settle in and find a routine before you assume it is not for you. A lot if us have been there. đź«‚

I'm going to second what Forveleth is saying. When I started college, I felt the exact same way that you do now. I found the transition incredibly overwhelming, and I wasn't even living in a dorm. Looking back, I think a lot of that discomfort came from being thrust into an entirely new and unfamiliar environment, as well as academic rigor.

I would give it time and allow yourself the opportunity to settle in, and make an effort to try something new. As you mentioned, you don't necessarily want to move back with your parents, so it stands to reason that there might be value in giving yourself time to adapt before simply deciding university isn't for you. It might feel alien now, but it can sometimes feel much more comfortable with time as you establish a sense of familiarity as well as a sense of belonging.

speaking as someone who dropped out, give yourself a semester to see if you can stick it out. after the semester ends you can drop out and it won't affect your gpa, so you can enroll back later if/when you want to try again. i felt extremely emotionally overwhelmed during a severe depressive episode i haven't recovered from, but i forced myself to stay in school before deciding to not enroll again. since it's only been 2 weeks, i don't think you've given yourself enough time to adjust being in a university yet. maybe if you find ways to cope with the stress or find something you like about university, you might want to keep going. good luck with your studies.

Yeah, I think things can seem worse than they really are at first (and I kind of felt the same way). At least give it (and yourself) a chance. Even if you do end up moving back in with your parents, it won't be forever, this too shall pass.
