I am so fearful of becoming to big that I would rather shoot meth than live like this. I don't understand why I can't just be at peace. Why everything becomes to much at some point. Why I can be so happy but so fucking sad and miserable at the same time. I hate this hell.

I have many different fears. Life scares me. It really is hell being alive, but I know in my case if things get much worse, that would give me the desperation that I need to finally ctb. I hope you find peace.

I fear that too. I have a calorie-intake app where I record my calories. Sometimes I'm still hungry but I know that it isn't necessary for me to survive because I've already consumed a sufficient amount of calories for the day. By not eating, I train my body to make do with what I have but I have to be careful to not binge eat after midnight because it's technically a new day.
My goal is to lose some weight and I hopefully will start feeling more confident again. I'm not overweight but for the last half-year I had been steadily gaining weight and I would be on track to being overweight like I used to so I had to make some changes. I'm still getting used to it and sometimes I cheat on my diet but I think I am making good progress.
I hope you can figure out something that works for you.
There's nothing wrong with having a vegan meal of course, however going for a full plant-based diet while trying to recover from an ed can actually be harmful as it can be used as an excuse to restrict food intake or hide a relapse or develop into orthorexia, and it can be very triggering for someone with an already restrictive type of ed (though everyone is different)

Yeah and ig it really depends on what kind of ed, its origins and what are the person's triggers, but generally it isn't uncommon that people struggling with disordered eating have to temporarily let go of their vegan lifestyle in order to reintroduce an open mindset regarding food, and some people can never go back to a plant-based diet bc it triggers a restrictive behaviour they can't manage healthily.

Not getting fat is the easiest thing in the world to control, I've been doing it for decades no problem. One year I purposely tried to get fat just to see how everyone else let it happen, ate whatever whenever. Gained a decent amount of weight before I was disgusted with myself and then lost it later with a sensible diet. It wasn't a big deal.
The key is disciplining yourself and not attaching too much joy to food, it has to be a kind of chore most of the time like going to the bathroom or showering or whatever. You can still eat junk food, just not constantly like many people do.
Really the whole thing is a trivial concern in this life when you factor it into the big picture, there are much worse things to be afraid of.

This is honestly really insensitive and unhelpful when you have no idea what kind of issues this person is dealing with. It seems you have never heard of eating disorders. If their fear is so great they want to die it clearly isn't the easiest thing in the world.

The body needs to adapt to the vegan diet and I've been told that it's really difficult. So I guess someone with ed might have trouble switching the diet. I don't have ed so I wouldn't know, but I since I have ocd, I can imagine that it's really tough.

They never said their fear was so great they wanted to die, they said they wanted to shoot meth. As in doing those types of drugs makes you skinny. Also they never said they had a legit eating disorder. 2/3rds of the US is overweight or obese, do they all have eating disorders? If they all don't then I'm talking to the people who don't, eating is one of the few things we can control in this life.

Yeah the thing with a restrictive ed is that the person will use their vegan values to avoid eating, saying things like ''i can't eat this'' or ''sorry i'm not sure if this is vegan'' and when they're going to eat they'll just have some fruits/veggies/low calorie things and it won't be a balanced nutritious plant-based diet, so sometimes it's better to take a break and make peace with all foods before attempting veganism again
I take medication that slows down my metabolism drastically. (I am dependent on it) Since then I barely eat much (1 year) I am very hungry every single day but I get used to it a little bit at least.

I understand. I thought that having a vegan diet would allow the person to eat vegan food without having to worry too much about gaining weight.
But as you said it wouldn't be a good idea. It's probably better to stick to omnivore diet really.
I think there's a few apps that helps to maintain a good diet, however, medical assistance will still be much better.

Well, thing is, eds are never about the food itself. Sometimes they're not even about appearance at all. The explanation isn't the same for everyone but eds are always the result of a deeper problem. An ed can be the way an underlying issue manifests itself, no matter what that issue is.
So while it is necessary to take care of the diet in order to ensure physically health as well as reduce the mental restrictions and fears, it is also very important to address the psychological roots of the disorder and introduce healthier coping mechanisms.

That's true. I met a few people that suffer from ed due to depression and eat as a coping mechanism.
I also have trouble eating due to my breathing condition, since I cannot exercise, I'm trying to control my diet to prevent gaining weight. I guess that can be seen as ed.
You seem to know a lot about ed. Do you have any trouble with it?

I have been a vegetarian over 10 years and I haven't had any problems. Vegans definitely have a harder time because there is less they can eat but it's definitely doable for most people to eat as a vegetarian and not have any problems. I became overweight as a vegetarian (I'm healthy weight now) so it doesn't stop that.
There is a good app I use for maintaining calorie intake and it has helped greatly. It can help for losing, maintaining or gaining weight.
Yeah it can also be a form of self harm, or it can be a way to feel in control even when you're not, or it can be the illusion that being lighter will give you the love and attention you need, it can come from toxic relationships, and much more...

Dieting exists on a spectrum, one can count calories healthily while another will become obsessed with it, one can exercise casually while another will have a panic attack over missing a workout, one can weigh themself to check progress while another will have a full on breakdown in front of the scale every morning. Any seemingly healthy habit can become disordered and anxiety-inducing with the wrong mindset/environment. It's all about how you feel and how it impacts you.
I do know a lot about it though everything is to be taken with a grain of salt as an ed is a personal issue and there isn't one truth for everybody. I don't think i have an actual ed but i do struggle with disordered eating.
