Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Don't listen to me, I am drunk

I'm back after a long time, doing better on some side, still feeling desperate and longing for the end when I look into the future.

I've decided that while I'm at it I'm gonna do some crazy shit I always wanted to do
next week I'm getting my diving license and when there's a bit more cold climate I'll ditch the gym for combat sports (kickboxing, muay thai, still don't know, I've done karate for a lot of time before that)
the concept being I either have the time of my life, meet new people and get better or I have somewhat of a place where I can risk getting injured and die.

Still thinking about more things I could do that would help,
you ever done sports like this?

As someone living with CTE-related symptoms from years of wrestling, I would not recommend engaging in any contact sport with the intention of getting injured and dying, as your injuries will affect you for the rest of your life, while death, at best, encroaches upon you by inches, your damaged brain betraying you each step of the way.

In terms of taking up martial arts as a hobby, that's a valid and potentially rewarding pursuit, but I would still consider the risk of permanent or residual injury, and if they're wearing any kind of helmets or headguards where such activities take place these days, for the love of God, wear them.
