I don't think it's our responsibilty to be honest to ensure that they get over it (in my opinion). If you think about anything else in life, we're expected to respect the other persons decision. If a person who is gay wants to come out to their homophobic family,, people would be say in real life and online that their family should respect their decision and they should still come out even if their family will feel bad. Same for divorce.

Hell, even abandoning your birth family is seen as okay but suicide isn't.

'Abandoning your birth family' is NOT and never can be see as OK by anyone acquainted with even a modicum of understanding about parental responsibility. The only exceptions would be some extraordinary circumstances like war or natural disaster so they, by abandoning you, they attempted to save you.

Suicide is every human being's right given at birth. No permission or acceptance is ever needed from anyone to use it. Not. Ever.

OK, thanks for clarifying it. But the same would apply to anyone to whom a child is entrusted to take care of them. In abusive households, and sadly those are on the rise, the abuse leads to traumas that, with time and more stress, eventually leads to here.

My parents would never get over it since they believe i am the perfect kid.
