I would probably be worried about what if I latch onto the lower bars with my feet in survival instinct and somehow manage to pull myself up and loosen the noose?

I've thought about that but i think it might be a good thing because the way i see it in order to latch on to the lower bars you need enough motor function where you have to be conscious so I can back out while conscious but once I fall unconscious there's no going back. Kind of like a more sophisticated stool.
Also I'm leaning more towards using the metal railings at the top of a bunk bed anyways so these bars are more of a backup plan.
Will this not get broken? It looks rickety... Please check if it is sturdy enough by putting your weight on a bar. The railings of the bed may be better.
Yeah, test the strength of the bolts. Also test the strength of the horizontal poles by getting underneath them and pulling the ligature downwards with all of your strength - try to swing around like Tarzan if you can!
