Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Will it haunt them forever or is there a chance they might get pass that? They love me to death but my mental health keeps declining. I have tried multiple medications but none are helping me.

From what I have read some people never really get over loss and the pain never fades. I think this is why I see it as being a good idea to leave a note behind to give them some closure and an explanation so they don't spend the rest of their lives wondering why the person decided to do this. Personally, I could never stay alive only for others and it would be selfish of them to expect me to. Suicide is a human right and a personal decision after all and nobody should be guilt tripped and forced into staying. Only the individual knows if suicide is the right thing.

Do you think leaving a letter can help ease their suffering?

They never recover. The suicide note serves to dull their pain as much as possible but they will continue to suffer anyway.

I don't know if it would make those left behind suffer less but it's better than leaving nothing in my opinion. If theres a letter it may mean that they are not left with unanswered questions. I do think that they would suffer more if they had no idea why the person chose to leave.

Most of my family lives in other states or countries, so they probably won't notice me being gone. Aside from my mom. But I'm almost 31. I can't wait to CTB anymore.

Mine wouldn't care anyway. And vice versa, I won't even bother leaving a note

Everyone reacts different to death. So it's hard to tell. But grief can be a traumatizing thing for some. Especially if you say you have a loving family. It could be brutal for them. They will likely never forget. Every family event, birthdays, Christmas, whatever, will remind them of you, the good times you were still with them. Time can heal wounds. But only up to a certain point. No letter can change that. That may sound hard, though, I think it's something you need to keep in mind.

What is the best thing to say to family/friends? I am going to tell them it's not their fault but I don't know what to say to be the kindest. I'm will to lie as well just haven't figured out what I should write.
