hi there new to this website so go easy....am looking at ending my life peacefully using helium....I've had alot go on in my life since being a kid lost my brother at a young age lost a few close friends along with my mother over the years and to top it off me and my partner of 14 years have gone our separate ways...in a dead end job with no money each month am bearly getting by...so if anyone could help me with a step by step guide that would be great I.e parts I would require to succeed...would cylinders of helium of amazon work and how many would I need also I have a cpap mask ready to use would this be OK to use

helium is so expensive and rare , most helium now for sale for party baloons only 80 percent pure , may be nitrogen would help , i have failed with nitrogen , yet to identify cause for my failiure with nitrogen

Helium is easy to obtain and not expensive in the EU. Do NOT use the party ballon gas. You need Helium 2.0 with a purity of 99,0% in a refillable bottle. The same applies to nitrogen. I have a fullface diving mask and a diving regulator. I have a great guide for both, helium and nitrogen, but I have to translate it into english. This is quite a lot of work.

Its already been said, but just to clarify, you should know that most helium that is commercially available has been mixed with enough oxygen so that you can't use it for this purpose. They do this to prevent suicides.

Have you read the PPeH? They have a whole chapter on inert gas asphyxiation (via "Exit bag" or similar) with a lot of great information. They note, as others have previously mentioned, that helium can be hard to come by but other gasses like nitrogen and argon are just as good and more readily available.

It´s not a problem to find a supplier, that sells Helium 2.8 (purity 99,98%) or higher. I have bought Helium 4.6 (purity 99,996%) in a refillable cylinder .
