Discussion CTB at/near home or far away from home?

Would you rather die at/near your home or far away from home. Would you do it in your room, book a hotel room, do it in public, do it in a forest or somewhere else?

I would like to die just a few meters away from the public institution that performs autopsies, so that I create the least amount of work for health professionals.

I also don't want to die in a very tragic way so as not to affect the psychological well-being of the people involved in my death, and I would also like to go at least three days without eating anything, so as to create less work for the medical team.

I'm losing weight in the long term for many reasons, one of the main ones is so that I don't become a huge burden when I die. I used to weigh 130 kg, but now I weigh 79 kg, but I want to reach 55 kg.

Depends on if I get access to my most desired method in time. The other method requires a sealed space, and my car can be parked anywhere. SN is more preferable as it allows me to rap things up on the day in a hotel room, then come night, I drift off into sleep.

If I lived alone, then it would be a very obvious choice, given a private space to myself, my method would change to inert gas, probably.

I would love to die in a forest and let nature take my body back. This would require me to be far from home. However, as current circumstances are, I will probably end up killing myself in my basement.

Im doing full suspension so I need to have a spot that works for that, most likely my garage will be the spot. Near home because I need to trust the spot Im hanging from. But I have thought about motel railings as an option which could be any location.

I fantasize about doing it in public, to send some kind of message. But realistically I want to do it somewhere no one will find me- deep in a cave, or maybe by the ocean at night so the tide can carry me away (it would be difficult to pull that one off though). I don't want to be found because I don't want anyone to know I'm dead- I plan make it look like I just decided to start a new life

At home, the only place in the world where I feel safe and comfortable. I'm too paranoid to go somewhere else and trust that no one will interrupt me.

Away from home so that my survivors won't have to spend time where I died, and so that there won't be any legal entanglements they have to deal with. This makes it harder though to figure out the right place.

It's better to do it at home, especially if you live alone. On the other hand, it would be good to do it outdoors too. But even in the forest there may be other people, so there is a risk of failure, and the weather may also let you down

I was always thinking about to ctb in my brothers car (I don't own one). I could drive somewhere where there won't be possibility I would be found by any family member, but still, being found by a stranger doesn't seems better. Also I am not sure if my brother wouldn't notice that I left house with his car.

For whatever reason I've always liked the idea of dying far away from home, in another country where no one knows me. I would be just another tragedy to the people discovering the body and dealing with the immediate aftermath, nothing personal.

However, it is very likely that I will CTB at home or close to home anyway. I'm not in any kind of position to travel and to then have the wherewithal to CTB abroad.

Going to a hotel is what probably made me back out of my attempt. Logistically it seemed better than doing it at home, but the unfamiliarity of the place just made my SI spike like crazy and I couldn't do it.

If I attempt again, it will probably be at home or at least at a familiar place away from home.

Definitely far from home. I don't wanna put my family through the trauma of finding me. But I don't really know where to go to do it. Someone said in a nature reserve or forest, which is exactly what I had thought - somewhere so remote that I wouldn't be found ever, ideally. I wondered about some swamp or bog where my body would decompose quickly, so if nobody finds me within a few weeks or months then I wouldn't be identifiable.

Lucky for me I live somewhere that has easy access to public transportation and the transit system covers every obscure outskirt of my city. There's lots of secluded rivers, lakes, trails and forest spots people rarely visit that would be perfect for CTB which I could get to pretty quick despite being in the inner city. I have a few specific spots in mind whenever I decide to do it. Firearms are also easily accessible here too which is a bonus.

Ideally, I will do it away from home, but it depends on the logistics, the situation and circumstances at the time I decide to attempt CTB.

In my opinion, I would chose far away from home, fucking hate dying the same place i have been most of my life,

Away from home. I live with my family and I don't want our home to be a constant reminder of my suicide to them. I'd really like to do it in nature, a mountain or forest would be ideal. You can make a mess and if you're far out enough the chances of emergency services interfering are minimal.

I'd prefer to do it indoors, so no one could interrupt me. Overall, the atmosphere inside is calmer than outside. But unfortunately, that's not an option for me.

I wouldnt mind home, maybe I'd prefer it, but it's not really possible for me as I'm gonna be jumping off a bridge far-ish away from my house.
