What a weird thing for someone to say. Crying is a physical response to feelings and emotions…I don't think it's ever intended to achieve anything. Unless someone were to purposely make themselves cry to gain empathy or something like that. Personally, whenever I cry, it is not voluntary. Just part of struggling with emotional turmoil and anxiety and other related things..I'm sorry someone said that to you! Very rude. Hope you may be feeling a bit better, now.
