Discussion Anyone else who doesn't want to outright die but because of bad decisions, you accept you will?

I'm talking about addiction issues, eating disorders, general risky choices you know will eventually kill you, but you just can't stop?

I've recently let my family know I probably won't survive the next few years because I know I could drop dead any time now and have already done permanent damage to myself.

I'm a smoker and have some dangerous eating disorders like I eat chalk and slate to cope. But that's not what will kill me. I lost my family, home, identity, got diagnosed with bpd, lost my reputation because of an affair with a family member, migrated at the same time so I feel displaced. Still holding on because of my son and old parents. But I don't know for how much longer I can hold on

addictions, eating disorder, and grief. my existence and past haunt me every moment of the day. i have only not committed suicide for fear of going to Hell .. but, at this point .. if i deserve to go, i'm willing to take the risk. the weight of all my imperfections feels like i'm in Hell already.
