I live in South Korea. I've always admired Finland cuz it seems to have beautiful nature and such a peaceful atmosphere.
It's been a dream of mine for a long time, and if circumstances allow, I'd love to immigrate there someday... I really don't like my country.
In SK, there are just too many situations where you end up getting entangled with other people
The relationships between individuals often feel overly close and invasive
I want to live a bit more distanced from everything around me.
I feel like if I could leave everything behind and start a quiet life somewhere else, I might finally be a little happier

I would be happier if I moved to a place where those who torment me would not find me, or that they would cease to exist before me.

Moving to another country is unlikely to truly change anything.

As someone who's moved country three times, I can say that on the surface it helps for the first few days or weeks while everything is new and fun, but then reality hits again. Only this time reality is hitting in a place where you're unfamiliar with the local culture and language.

I have also considered dropping everything and moving away again, but I know this wouldn't really fix anything. I would just be suicidal in a different country.

Life follows us everywhere.

Why not? I'm in China, and this society is making me collapse.

You won't know what will change for you unless you do the step and move to another country. Traveling and living in other countries can enrich your life and lead to a much better well being maybe you even find love in another country.

Give it a try it's worth it!

It can both make you feel better but also much worse. You won't know unless you try.

yeah you very well might!! i had a friend who was very depressed and suicidal but simply moving to a different state with a different culture and better weather + nice beaches and scenery completely changed her life and now she's recovered and quite happy. it's definitely worth a try :)

It's worth a try. I think it depends a lot on the reasons you want to move, and you sound positive. If you feel like it could work, you can make it work. It may not be easy, as many things can follow you, especially if you leave for the wrong reasons. I've left my country behind, and while I don't miss anything about the country, the reason for me wanting to ctb has followed me. But then, I did not leave to be happy, I left because I was running away. I think with the right attitude, you can be happy and besides you admire the country you want to go to. Just be sure to research all the negative things about the country as well, so you know both the good and bad, the "real stuff" that's going on there, so you will be prepared to deal with anything. I wish you all the best!

my humble two cents...moving to and living in different countries is always highly mind-expanding and culturally enriching. It can be tremendously exciting and fun, too. This said,I myself lived and worked in quite a few countries all over the globe and my conclusion is as follows:there are no better or worse countries-mind me-you only change the backdrop,as it were. Some countries offer great weather conditions but are cesspools in other respects, know what I mean?Other countries are graced with an incredibly high standard of living but in turn people are bitchy and you have to work your finger to the bone to be able to make ends meet. And so the list of pros and cons goes on and on!You always juggle pros and cons with almost the same all-in-all end result once you sum it all up.I don't know what led you to this site, though, but I can guess and believe me one thing:no change of scene will solve any of the issues that made you become a member of SaSu...sorry if I nilly-willy burst your bubble
