An apocalypse would probably cause a LOT of suffering and many people who didn't consent would die.

In the end there might be less total suffering in the world, but life would probably be worse for those who do survive, at least until society adapts and stabilizes.

If it ends, then it ends. I think even those with the most positive outlook on life eventually realize there's no point in trying to control situations that are completely out of their power. All I could hope for is an end without much pain/agony.

(Though I wouldn't hope for this type of ending to be quite frank)

Even if an asteroid attack earth now, some groups of human may survive. There're lot of underground bunkers and millitary bases around the world.

It really depends on the size. But most asteroids withing proximity would cause a total extinction of humans on the planet. No exceptions.
