• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

This is an interesting question but would likely have an infinitely complicated answer.

A myriad of other factors - social, socioeconomic, genetic, cultural, psychological - have to be somewhat primed in order for a suicide to trigger a series of copycat suicides. It was noted in the '90s that even Kurt Cobain's death did not particularly lead to many copycat suicides.

And yet, in a suburb where I used to live, there was a number of schoolchildren who CTB-ed in a row from the same school; the suburb happened to be quite far from the city and all would have the common theme of parents who were too busy commuting to be emotionally available.

The short answer is no. You need to pick more realistic targets for narcissistic supply.

in short, the subculture or section of society that you inhabit must be conducive to copycats suicides. it probably also helps if you're famous

Fine. Whole countries (small ones) will exit this life after being grief stricken by the news article detailing my tragic life and death.
