why do people post suicide letters on wattpad? are they real letters?

In the end, a properly suicide letter is that which is received by the people it was intented to.

There is a lot of options with posting letters. You can make a delayed post as I already mentioned, it won't cause any problems in case you get unlucky and someone does find your letter before you're dead

I don't like it as an option and would like to have any alternative to this. but I don't know which one.

I assume (or hope) that some are just vents. Knowing a lot of users are younger I know I wrote a lot that were never delivered or followed on when I was a teenager and I hope people are using the outlet for the same purpose. (Just....digital now cuz most probably don't keep handwritten diaries and whatnot.)

I believe it is another platform that people use to post stuff. I do think that there is a mix of genuine letters and those who just post to vent as @WornOutLife said.

I need them to see my genuine letter as untruthful and not contact the police. and that Facebook servers don't get alarmed when I post the link pretending to sponsor a story. I don't ask too much.

I had an idea to be able to post a note publicly and still only have those that you know read it. It's a bit convoluted but it seems kinda cool to me. Basically you encrypt your message with pgp and then post it, now only those that have the pgp key can translate it.

I'm not so technological. Besides, my goal is to make the world read it, I don't know why. It's like it gives my death meaning.

Because wattpad is more likely to delete it. Pastebin really only deletes abusive stuff. I think a livejournal might work I cant see them deleting that.

is a nice problem this. however on wattpad I see a lot of these things and are still there. is this pastebin very controlled?
