Why do people go for n as opposed to sn,?

What are they like comparatively? What differences make people think n is better? I'm asking because I wanted n but getting it's not looking good. I don't think I can hold on that long for something that may not happen. Is sn a much less peaceful death?
My understanding is that it acts faster and there's less concern about throwing up because N is so much stronger. The list of additional items recommended for SN is longer. N is considered the gold standard because there are so few failed attempts. SN is good but it's not as reliable as N. The high likelihood of vomiting is what concerns me about SN. Otherwise it's supposed to be peaceful. Most believe N is peaceful too.
I think N has a higher success rate and is more peaceful. If you fail with N there could be damage done. SN has a lower success rate, cheaper than N, and no known damages if failed.
N is an anesthetic. Someone who OD with N dies under anesthesia. SN cannot make someone unconscious before the brain becomes hypoxic, causing asphyxia and unpleasant symptoms. Thats why N is golden standart and not cheap.

I think it is because it seems to be more peaceful. One loses consciousness a lot faster and just sleeps comfortably until everything inside stops working. Sn in the other hand, requires seeing one self almost turning blue and also with the risk of vomiting and consciousness is not guaranteed to be lost that fast. I think it is like 15 minutes until once falls unconscious but definitely depends on body weight, size, and height. I myself think SN has more risk because those minutes one is awake the SI can activate itself and one could seek help, failing. Sn also takes more courage to do, at least on my perception only.
I thought why not take both but then I realised the sn probably makes you vomit the N which would reduce the effectiveness. sn is my second option I guess, I've not read too much into it yet as pinning all my hopes on N!
