• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Hi,
I feel like i overcomplicate CTB:ing so much. I decided to just go with hanging but without a drop. I was thinking of doing this outside but I always seem to overcomplicate thinking what type of rope etc.

Really it does not matter I could use a Ethernet cable. What can I do to come over this? Need emotional support

I can't help you with the method and I don't experience the same issues with overcomplicating it and stuff since I have no fear of failure and am completely well decided, but I think people tend to overcomplicate it when they are already prone to overthinking and possibly as an extension of survival instinct.

We overcomplicate CTBing because - I think - we're not 100% sure to want to end this way. SI is very powerful and our brain has still a very little hope to recover. My conclusion is simple : if your destiny is to ctb, you'll know when it's time to do it. And if it's not time, it's not time. I don't know the percentage of impulsive suicides but it must be majoritary.

This is truly a big problem. From what I learned here from sasu members is that simply just do it. If you really wanna leave forever, if you have your reasons and know nothing will get better than just do it. This whole overthinking will be like a blockade it'll prevent you from making any progress in case of ctb. Trust me i know that i have the damn rope now here since December 2024 and just recently finished my tests with it but when i finished testing I said to myself so what? Was there now some higher force stopping you from tying the rope on the wood beam and see if it holds? No there wass nothing and if you had just placed the noose on your neck and hang there you'd be dead now.

It sounds like you're just caught up in the minutia. Catching the bus does have a "sack up and do it" element to it. All of the people who went through with it successfully just made up their minds and did it. End of story. Are you 100% sure you WANT to do it? I only ask because that can be a factor as well. Most of the posts on here are people who aren't sure and they go down endless rabbit holes about methods, ideas, and so many other things that keep them distracted from actually going about the business of doing it. And maybe that's, in fact, the hidden, covert purpose of SaSu. While it is wise to do one's due diligence, it's equally as important not to get bogged down with the details.

Caring about songs that'll be played at one's funeral. Hung up with how one will be remembered. Being worried about an afterlife or oblivion. That's ego and uncertainty about wanting to do it. Not saying that this is you. However, to answer your question, these are the things that contribute to hesitation and procrastination. Hope this helps.

In my eyes (as someone who struggles with overthinking it a lot), combinations of fear of failure, SI, low self esteem, and pre established overthinking.

I don't think SaSu overcomplicates CTB.
Failure will end up in your situation being even worse, and it can get very bad.
For every poorly prepared impulsive CTB how many failed ones? I've spoken with several people who have failed CTB through med OD (including 2 people I was very close to).
If I spend 2 hours to increase my odds of success by even 0.1%, I'm taking those odds.

Because a failed attempt will make you worse, I've survived jumping into a high speed car and got lucky to not have ended up paralyzed, im still disabled from it though
