Discussion Why are you here/What is your problem?

I've been suicidal since I was 8 years old, and have attempted numerous times since 12 years old.
I had always wondered, "surely, there's SOMEWHERE on the internet where people discuss this kind of thing" (became frustrated with not finding answers to genuine questions- pro-lifers)
Stumbled across this forum several months back and was observing quietly (recently made my account!) it's been incredibly helpful and I don't feel alienated here.

I am really disturbed despite having relatively low trauma. Don't why I am still alive and holding out for others when I am no good anyways.

I read No Longer Human and really related. I don't regret it.

I am thinking of reading The Setting Sun next. Feel free to talk to me about Dazai if you wish. His book was interesting in a way I never related to before.

Ah! Ah!! Yes! Indeed! PM me if you wish to speak about Dazai! I have many opinions! I recommend his shorter works next, rather than another long novel like The Setting Sun. Putting Granny Out to Die is about a failed double suicide attempt, it is one of my favorites.

I am here due to this world being a shithole. The rest of issues I think is the consequence of it, besides, I don't always doubt that doing something about the state of the world is impossible, the problem is however that, with so many people actively ruining the world, doing anything to counter that requires a belief that actions matter no matter how small they are, and that comes and goes. Also sometimes I really begin to lament my lack of strength compared to the circumstances. Voted for Existential / Philosophical.
