What condition do you have? Have you tried or been prescribed opiates?

Scarring alopecia on head face and body. No doctor will give opiates to that. I doubt it will do much anyway

Ah right. No, definitely not likely to receive opiates for that. I'd incorrectly assumed something more akin to a cancer or infection related swelling and flaring. Do you get any decent topical treatments? Guessing you'll have already looked into that.

That sounds really awful. It is horrifying to think that there are an unlimited amount of health conditions that exist. No one should have to suffer like that. I wish you the best.

I have chronic eczema, constant itchiness, plus vitiligo. A nice double-whammy of being very uncomfortable, plus looking horrible and affecting my social confidence.

It is so easy to overlook skin condition and how they can ruin someone's life. Mine absolutely destroyed anything good that was going for me. I am not looking forward to a full life sentence with it. It has been more than enough

Sorry to hear what you're going through.

Same man. I never imagined skin would be my biggest reason to ctb.

I was naive and I just scrubbed my severe cystic acne in teens which left scarring all over my face. I get anxiety when i go out and face people.

This is my biggest reason I'm losing my mind and why I'll ctb soon

I totally relate. I hide my skin boils and ugly scars well and i dont go out much. I wish the burning, pain and itchiness would stop. It is like someone is stabbing me with a heated needle all my waking moments

Damn. You're enduring physical pain as well. I used to have rosasea like condition but not unbearable pain.

For me, it's sheer ugliness and unacceptance of what I've done to myself. It's been months since I looked into a mirror. The moment i do, I can't sleep for a week due to panic and anxiety. This is not a way to live at all for the rest of my life. I want out.

I'm sorry Zero. Maybe opiates would help, but I don't think doctors would prescribe them, they would probably try metamizole which might help but it's too weak for a moderate/severe pain and obviously won't work on long term.

If a kind doctor would prescribe tramadol, it's already a start. I hope you manage to get some, might help you a lot.

Chronic pain is the worst. There are very little treatments available, even less when it's caused by a rare condition.
