I actually think the opposite is true? With a gun all you have to do is pick it up, aim, and pull the trigger. This can be done in a second with no prep. Contrast this with other methods like SN or hanging where you have to prep beforehand and that gives your brain time to make you doubt. In the time it takes for you to pick up a gun and shoot (provided it's nearby) your brain won't even have time to get the SI to kick in.Similar threads
