Where do I leave my bike for forest CTB?

I have to bike 20.5 km to get to my location.

It's off of a bike trail then I have to go through the forested area on foot.

Where do I leave my bike? Because obviously I can't take it into the forested area with me.

And I think if someone saw an expensive bike around they would be suspicious.

Should I just carry it into the woods a bit and cover it with a camo net or just branches/leaves?? I think that may be my only option… unless anyone else has any ideas.

you can? unless you literally physically cannot transport it there
anyway it depends on your method, unless it is a super prolonged method i dont see why anyone would discover it and then look for and find you still alive, chances are youre gonna be dead by the time anyone finds you if you do it in a wooded area

The forest is densely packed with trees and terrain is uneven and I have to jump over fallen trees and such.

Can't you rent some cheap E bike instead ? Something like that or some other vehicle. Also, can you take your bike apart With some tools?It'll be much easier to hide.

You can bring some really thin fabric with you in your backpack that you can use to cover the bike up nicely, like some black tarpaulin,net or something.

It's not that expensive it was only a 800$ bike but I just feel like anything that's not a rust bucket would look suspicious.

It'll be really dark at night so I'll just try to cover the reflective parts of the bike and bring it a couple meters into the woods then cover over it with a camo net maybe.

Was supposed to do it this year, but things have happened that I have to put off ctb until next year. I still plan on a 180 mile bike ride(taking about 2 weeks to do it), then abandoning the bike and start hiking on a different trail for about another 2 weeks, then find my spot to ctb.

Just want to do some things I've loved doing before it's time.

Im dreading the biking… it'll be so dark and scary. And it's a long way (12.7 miles). I don't even think I'm good at biking so it's going to be hard probably.

I might do a test run tonight but don't know. I'm doing this because I have too, it's the only way for me to get to a remote location with not too many people.

But yeah if that's something you like then I'm happy for you.

Do you mean an e-bike or MTB? Because I usually carry my MTB on my back in shitty areas. The trick is to flip it upside down and lift it with one of the pedals of your shoulder, rather than lifting it straight up. You can search on youtube how to do it.

Why would I carry my bike into the woods… that sounds hard. Also its just a regular road bike.
