How do you know when you love someone?

For me, it's not just some sort of trigger that happens, and boom, all of a sudden I'm in love with them. I guess it's a feeling over time, it grows and it grows and it grows. Sometimes people that I've lost in the past I never stopped loving, I just happened to love someone else a little more. I'm curious as to how you feel this emotion towards others. What makes you love someone else?

It depends on your thinking of love for me, if you mean attracted to someone or something close to that I would have no clue but in terms of a strong relationship to someone, for me it would probably be when someone can prove to me without question that they care about me and that's usually when I start getting way too attached to them and make them hate me.
