Hello people. If you go through my account you'll see I've been really trying to look for ways to CTB, and I'm kind of tired of it all. I feel suicidal almost everyday (barring the last week which I've felt great for whatever reason) and I want to know what could possibly be done? I'm still waiting to hear back for when I can see a psychiatrist, but even when I can what could they possibly do? Is there some type of medication that targets suicidal ideation specifically? Or a medication such as SSRIs that could help with suicidal ideation on top of depression? I understand I must get a diagnosis and receive a form of therapy as the main form of treatment with medications to aide with targeted symptoms. And I get that therapy is supposed to take time to work, but I just feel like I need more immediate help. I don't know what to do, so does anyone have any answers, suggestions, or tips for me? Anything helps. And thank you

If life has contracted such that suicide is the most major thought, it still may be possible to turn the tide by slowly reaching out to weave yourself into the larger tapestry of life.

Each thread you find to connect yourself to something outside yourself can be useful If you start with small steps such as looking forward to reading a book you enjoy or watching a film you enjoy, you can begin to construct a life that has things to look forward to.

Each connection you build and step you take can create a life where thoughts of suicide begin to lessen. Even a process of experimentation with nutrition and diet changes or exercise that may not produce any significant results can have value in that you slowly being to see yourself more in control of your own life.

You may even find that as your reintegration into life progresses, you begin to find satisfaction in what you can do for others. This can open the door to real happiness.

Prozac has reduced my suicidal thoughts a lot. Medication can help - I hope it helps you.
Ps I personally would do meds + therapy. I don't know if therapy is enough. It takes 12 weeks for example for Prozac to 'level out' so better to start a med sooner.

Sorry, haven't been on SS much lately. I haven't been feeling nearly as suicidal (or as intensely at least) recently as beforehand. However, I think it's grown into something more like me accepting my fate. I kinda came to terms with the fact that I am too dependent on people, for example, and that if I lose them I will probably just snap. Losing motivation rapidly, yet somehow still alive

My therapist prescribed lithium pills for me and it's helping. For the first few days, I had violent suicidal thoughts but they got better after a week. If you have a therapist ask her about lithium pills. But I can't be sure because she prescribed me those for my BPD. I have really worse mood swings.
