Yeah, my parents both speak Mandarin though I'm actually only fluent in English.

From what I remember, 10 in Mandarin does also sound similar to death like 4 but in a different way. I think I still like 10 though because it makes math so easy. I wish we could have had the metric system in America.

I can count from 1-9 in mandarin but cannot remember what 10 sounds like lol. I wish all your recipes would use the metric system. It's annoying having to convert everything from cups to grams.

But the 8 can be unlucky too, because if you're suffering from bad luck; the 8 represents a vicious inescapable cycle (it just go round the 8 loop; no escape). It too can apply for good luck.

I love the number 5 coz it's my birth date.

4, always been drawn to this number and I don't know why. I wouldn't say its a lucky number or anything like that, it just feels like a comfortable number, hard to explain how it makes me feel to be honest.

I remember my mom once told me it's supposed to represent infinite money, not infinite life (thankfully). Really hope it's the former.

This has also been my favorite number since I was a small child... never the connection between that and how little I want to live until you point that out. It kind of funny/ironic but also a bit messed up, don't you think?
